Informationen zu HTML5 gibt es im Überfluss, von den W3C Dokumenten bis zu Business-Cases, Visionen von Technologie-Gurus und die unüberschaubare Vielfalt der How-To Artikel und Tutorials. Diese Whitepaper soll die Lücke zwischen den Visionen und den Tutorials schließen. Es bietet einen Überblick über HTML5, der für alle jene hilfreich sein wird, die noch keine HTML5 Experten, aber ausreichend technisch orientiert sind, um zu wissen, was wir z.B. unter einem "Chromeless Browser" verstehen.
Andy Gryc [Grits] has been a software developer and designer for over 20 years, and is currently a senior product marketing manager at QNX. Prior to joining QNX Software Systems, he worked as the lead embedded software architect for GM OnStar; designed and implemented a speech recognition engine for a speech technology company; and served as a member of the Hewlett-Packard team that created the software for palmtops and the BIOS for the Omnibook notebooks. As well a contributing regularly to the QNX whitepaper and webinar programs, Andy writes a blog, True Gryc, "about the automotive market, the embedded industry, being an honorary Canadian, and any other stray neuron that happens to fire". He holds a Bachelors degree in Computer Science from the University of Michigan, and, as his blog blurb states, has recently moved to QNX headquarters in Canada.
Marc Lapierre arbeitet momentan als HMI Entwickler im QNX CAR 2 Team und konzentriert sich auf die Erstellung von Anwendungen mit HTML5, JavaScript und CSS3 und die Verbesserung von Programmierstandards und Code-Effizienz in diesem Bereich. Davor hat Marc bei RIM Social-Networking und Multimedianwendungen für Smartphones und das PlayBook entwickelt. Marc hat Computer Science am Collège de Sherbrooke in Québec studiert.
