In their recent report, Dedicated Systems Experts evaluated the QNX® Neutrino® RTOS, VX Works AE, and Windows CE.NET. Their benchmarking tests covered the following areas: Installation and Configuration; RTOS Architecture; API Richness; Internet Support;Tools; Documentation and Support; and Development Methodology.
Overall, QNX emerged as the clear winner in major categories and stress tests. Dedicated Systems concluded its report by saying: "QNX Neutrino is the only RTOS that has a true, message-based client-server architecture well equipped to handle today's requirements concerning distributed processing, high availability, etc." |
